Walid Regragui has been named coach of the tournament at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after guiding Morocco to the final. L'Équipe reports that the Confederation of African Football selected him when unveiling the team of the tournament.
Morocco edged Nigeria on penalties in the semi-finals, then lost 0-1 after extra time to Senegal in the final. They did not suffer a defeat in 90 minutes during the tournament.

The selection reflected Morocco's solid run and the tactical control they showed across the competition.
Regragui has led the Atlas Lions since 2022.
Yassine Bounou was named goalkeeper of the tournament, while Brahim Diaz finished as top scorer with five goals.
Morocco received the Fair Play award, and Senegal forward Sadio Mané, a tournament winner, was named player of the 2025 AFCON.
