James Ward-Prowse could well have played his last game for West Ham.
The former Southampton captain has been a regular starter under former boss Graham Potter, who was sacked as manager at the weekend, following a dreadful start to the season.
Nuno Espirito Santo has taken over, with the former Nottingham Forest boss having worked with Ward-Prowse previously at Forest, with the midfielder dropped by Nuno and then returned to east London mid-loan last season.
It is now understood that Ward-Prowse has not travelled with the West Ham squad to take on Everton tonight, with it also understood that he is not part of the plans under Nuno.
Should that be the case, then it could well be that Ward-Prowse has played his game for the club.
It is hoped that West Ham will experience a new manager bounce tonight, with David Moyes’s Everton hosting a Hammers side eager to get off to a good start under the new boss and get up and running this season.
