West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur meet in a Premier League London derby at the London Stadium on Sunday 4th May at 2pm. There isn’t much on the line for either side, with both clubs looking destined to finish the season in the bottom half of the table. But both managers will look to end the season on a high, particularly Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham are winless in their past four trips to the London Stadium, losing two and drawing two. But West Ham are also winless in their past three home league games.
Jarrod Bowen has scored in his past two appearances at the London Stadium.
West Ham look to be ending the season on a low note. The Hammers are safe and have nothing but pride to play for, but they’re on a winless run at the moment. Graham Potter’s side are winless in their past six Premier League games, alternating defeats and draws. At the London Stadium specifically, West Ham have drawn their past two games after a defeat to Newcastle United.
Tottenham will be fully focused on the Europa League, with this game coming in between the two legs of their semi-final against Bodo/Glimt. Postecoglou’s side are one place and one point ahead of West Ham, some 11 points outside the top half. This has been a disastrous season for Tottenham, but it feels like there is pressure to finish higher even with nothing on the line. Tottenham have won just one of their past seven league games and have lost their past three on the road.
Evan Ferguson will be available for West Ham, having been unable to face parent club Brighton and Hove Albion. This game will probably be too soon for Crysencio Summerville, while Michail Antonio is out for an indefinite period.
Radu Dragusin is a long-term absentee and Tottenham’s only injury issue at the moment.
Tottenham have lost just one of their past seven games against West Ham across all competitions. But they are winless in their past four trips to the London Stadium, losing two and drawing two.
