Many Sheffield United fans disagreed with Chris Wilder's assessment of the game following the 3-1 defeat at home to Derby County on Saturday.
Sheffield United’s dismal season continued on Saturday as they were beaten 3-1 by Derby County at Bramall Lane.
The loss leaves the Blades in the relegation zone, and they are three points from safety after suffering a 10th defeat of the campaign.
It had been hoped the return of Chris Wilder would inspire a turnaround, but whilst the boyhood fan has overseen three wins, they have now lost five of his eight games in charge.

That shows the problems run deep at Sheffield United right now, and Wilder has a big task on his hands to ensure the Yorkshire outfit can pull out of trouble.
Despite the disappointing performance against the Rams, the manager surprisingly took some positives from the display, as he told the club’s media that Derby were simply more ruthless in front of goal, and his team failed to capitalise on the opportunities they created.
"The game was what we thought it would be, two different types of way teams play, two different ways to get a result.
"What happens in both boxes is key and they stick a ball in our box for a corner. We're zonal, we just need to go and head that clear. It's pretty straightforward.
"After being really positive after the two games that we've won, both games decided in penalty areas. We concede six and score three (and) don't get any points out of both games. We've not been dominated. It's not been a backs against the wall for two games now.
"(We had) enough opportunities to get ourselves back in the game, which we didn't take. All of a sudden, you've seen what happened straight from the kick-off. They can't go straight through and score.
"They've not had to work hard for the first goal, not had to work hard for the second goal, certainly not had to work hard for the third goal. Then you're 3-0 down at home against a buoyant side and it's a long way back."

As well as that, Wilder made it clear he was unhappy with the decision to award the visitors a penalty, which came after Alex Matos was adjudged to have handled after he fell on the ball in his own box, with the Blades believing he was fouled.
Wilder was also critical of how his team defended, as he bemoaned the lack of physicality at both ends of the pitch that influenced the way the team had to play.
Yet, it’s fair to say that many fans disagreed with Wilder’s assessment of the game, as they queried whether it was as close as the boss implied…
Another fan questioned the style, something which Wilder referenced during his interview.
This supporter also urged Wilder to make a tweak, as Sheffield United's current group have struggled to get to grips with what the manager wants.
Finally, Wilder was told to stop searching for excuses, and instead get the 'basics' right to help the team try and climb up the table.

This is a very bleak situation for Sheffield United, and you can understand why the fans are worried about the possibility of relegation if they don't improve swiftly.
Wilder is right to point out that he is inheriting a different squad to the one he left, and the squad is short in certain areas, with the lack of a focal point up front a particular issue that is impacting the way they can play.
Nevertheless, the reality is that there is still enough quality in the Sheffield United ranks to get results on a consistent basis, and it's Wilder's job to find a formula that works for the group.
So, it will be interesting to see how Wilder goes about changing things, as there is a lot of football to be played between now and January, when Sheffield United
