Dani Olmo has been missing for the last few Barcelona matches after suffering a calf injury a week and a half ago. The 26-year-old last featured on January 18th against Getafe.
It would now seem that we might have to wait a while longer to see the midfielder make his return. As per Mundo Deportivo, Olmo still hasn’t returned to training, so he is ruled out again this weekend against Alavés.
Should Olmo’s recovery go well we can expect to see him make his return either against Valencia in the Copa del Rey, or against Sevilla in the League the weekend after.
That would put Olmo’s return on either the 6th or 9th of February, but if things don’t quite go as smoothly we might have to wait until Barça face Rayo Vallecano on the 17th of February.
This isn’t great news for Barcelona fans, as Olmo has been one of the club’s best attacking outlets since joining during the summer.
With a goal involvement every other game on average for the club, Barcelona simply don’t score as many goals without Dani Olmo on the pitch, so they will be looking him back fit as quickly as possible.
