CD Castellón have signed Fran Castillo from UD Ibiza on a deal running until 30 June 2029. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the clubs have reached a transfer agreement for the Málaga-born midfielder, born on 30 January 1997.
Castillo arrived in Ibiza from Juventud de Torremolinos after a standout 2024/2025 in Segunda RFEF, delivering 17 goals and seven assists in 33 matches and being recognised as the division’s best player.
His first campaign in Primera Federación confirmed that form. He became Ibiza’s leading scorer with 10 goals in 29 appearances, topping 2,100 minutes and establishing himself as a decisive figure.
Developed as a central midfielder and capable as a No 10, he has increasingly operated higher up the pitch. He offers late runs, clean striking and sharp instincts in the box, providing end product despite not being a pure striker.
Castillo came through Málaga CF’s academy, began his senior career with Albacete Balompié B, then returned to Andalusia with CD Alhaurino before breaking out at Juventud de Torremolinos and stepping up to UD Ibiza.
For Castellón, he represents a mature, competitive addition with proven output and room to adapt to greater demands. He arrives from Ibiza as an offensive reference with numbers, personality and an upward trajectory.
