When FC Bayern travel to 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday (17:30 CET) for their final game of the year, it will be a clash of opposites. With 51 goals (3.64 goals per game), the Munich men boast the best attack in the league this season. That is also a record tally after 14 matchdays. With 13 goals, upcoming opponents Heidenheim have the joint-weakest attack in the Bundesliga (along with Mainz and St. Pauli). Moreover, Bayern have the best defence in the league, having conceded just 11 goals, while Heidenheim have the weakest with 30. There's also a world of difference between the two teams in terms of average time in possession: FCB average 68 per cent, the highest in the league, while Heidenheim average 42 per cent – the second lowest after Union Berlin (36 per cent). With an incredible 85 per cent possession in their last outing against Mainz, the Munich men set a new Bundesliga record since detailed data collection began in 2004/05. Read more about why Bayern are likely to wrap up the year with a win at Heidenheim in our match facts.

A powerhouse on the road – and unbeatable in 2025?

Bayern have not lost a single one of their 15 away games in the Bundesliga in 2025 (11 wins, four draws). For only the third time ever, after 1986 and 2013, the men from Munich could see out a full calendar year without losing an away game in the league.

Second-best season in history

Despite the 2-2 draw against 1. FSV Mainz 05 last Sunday, FC Bayern are still enjoying their second-best season ever. FCB have notched up 38 points after 14 Bundesliga matchdays. Only the Munich men themselves have ever picked up more points from their first 14 games – 40, in the 2015/16 season.

Goals guaranteed

If the stats are anything to go by, fans can look forward to plenty of goals on Sunday! Bayern have scored more goals against Heidenheim (3.5 per game) than against any other current Bundesliga team, but they’ve also conceded more goals against them (1.75 per game) than against any other side.

Kane approaching milestone and breaking records

Harry Kane has been directly involved in 99 goals in 77 Bundesliga matches (80 goals, 19 assists) and could now break the 100 mark in his 78th game – a record since comprehensive data collection began (2004/05)! To date, Arjen Robben needed the fewest Bundesliga games to reach 100 direct goal contributions (119 games). Kane also currently holds two other ongoing records: against Mainz, he bagged his 50th competitive goal in his 55th competitive appearance for FC Bayern in this calendar year – a new personal record. The striker has never before scored as many goals for a club in a calendar year (in 2017, he scored 49 goals for Tottenham). With his penalty against Mainz, Kane has now also converted 20 consecutive penalties in the Bundesliga – something no one else has ever achieved!

Young gun Karl with club record

Lennart Karl scored the opener in Sunday's draw with 1. FSV Mainz 05, recording his fifth direct goal contribution in the Bundesliga at the age of 17 (three goals, two assists). That's a new club record! Never before has an FCB player been involved in so many goals in the Bundesliga before reaching his 18th birthday.
