Wolves equalled an unwanted Premier League record with Saturday’s defeat at Brighton, compounding a bleak campaign. As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, a season spent trying to dodge indignities has delivered another.
The loss meant Rob Edwards’ side had been beaten by every other Premier League club, a feat previously suffered only by Sheffield United in 2023/24.
Earlier in the season and into 2026, focus fell on avoiding Derby County’s record low of 11 points. Wolves cleared that bar and moved beyond several other low totals, but the setbacks have continued.
The weekend figures also highlighted their attacking struggles. Erling Haaland has 25 league goals, more than Wolves’ combined 24 this season.
Wolves are only a few goals above some of the division’s sparsest returns. Sheffield United in 2020/21 and Derby in 2007/08 scored 20, Sunderland in 2002/03 21, Huddersfield in 2018/19 22, and Norwich in 2021/22 23.
