Kenya thrashed Seychelles 5-0 at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi, Kasarani, on Monday. The Harambee Stars put on an attacking masterclass with goals from Ogam, Sichenje, and a brace from Olunga.

Playing in front of their home crowd at Kasarani Stadium, the atmosphere was electric. Despite the absence of any qualifying stakes—both teams already eliminated—the Harambee Stars asserted their dominance from the outset. Beni McCarthy's men quickly took control of proceedings. Ryan Ogam opened the scoring in the 7th minute thanks to an assist from Duke Abuya. The striker struck again in the 38th minute to make it 3-0, following Collins Sichenje's goal in the 35th minute, also set up by Abuya.

The first half turned into a nightmare for the visitors from Seychelles. The Kenyans monopolized possession and created chance after chance against an overwhelmed island side. Michael Olunga, captain and iconic figure of the Harambee Stars, capped off the first half by converting a penalty deep into stoppage time (45+5').

In the second half, Michael Olunga completed his brace in the 67th minute, set up by Richard Onyango. This strike sealed the 5-0 final score and highlighted the gulf in class between the two teams. While this match carried little sporting significance in the race for the 2026 World Cup, Kenya now sits in fourth place in Group F, trailing group leaders Ivory Coast by ten points.
