Earlier this week, Real Madrid put to rest all rumours linking them to Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández.
Making an official announcement, the club ended all speculation and made it clear that they are not interested in the London-based footballer despite all the links.
In fact, reports went on to even state that Real Madrid will not make any more midfield signings this summer and that the existing core would remain for the upcoming campaign with just the addition of Bernardo Silva.
However, as reported by Miguel Serrano in a recent update, the World Cup’s emerging star Ayyoub Bouaddi continues to be an option for Real Madrid and has even gained prominence after the club’s open rejection of Fernandez.

He has now gained ground as an option for Real Madrid if there is a departure in midfield and is rated highly by the administration.
His parent club Lille are open to selling the emerging star for a fee of around €100 million this summer. That fee seems steep for Real Madrid to invest in midfield but is not entirely impossible.
If they are to sign him, however, they will face competition from Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and even PSG who are all keeping tabs on the player.
As relayed by the same source, Bouaddi himself remains uncertain about his future amid all the links and is unsure of what his best move is at this point in his career.

The youngster is not clear whether the time is right to make the step-up to an elite club or whether he should stay at Lille for a little longer before taking the big step.
Bouaddi is one who takes a lot of thought and planning into his career decisions, and it will thus not be an easy call for the player to make. After all, it is a career trajectory-changing call.
Real Madrid, for their part, appreciate not only his sporting quality but also the reports about his personal life and see him as a possible target. Everything, however, will boil down to departures, the transfer fee, and Bouaddi’s stance.
