Zé Roberto visits Grêmio training centre and meets Luís Castro

According to Globo.com, Zé Roberto visited Grêmio’s CT Luiz Carvalho on Tuesday morning, catching up with staff and speaking with head coach Luís Castro and football executive Paulo Peilaipe.
The 51-year-old is in Porto Alegre for an evening talk titled Fé, Disciplina, Constância at the Arena. During the stop, he embraced Luís Castro to wish him luck and was presented with a new Grêmio shirt.
Zé Roberto played for Grêmio from 2012 to 2014 after returning from Al-Gharafa in Qatar, making 122 appearances and scoring 15 goals, without winning a trophy. He said the visit brought back good memories, that many familiar faces remain, and that the club helped him hit targets late in his career after two and a half years there.
He retired at Palmeiras in 2017, aged 43, and was renowned for longevity and elite fitness. With the Verdão he won the Brasileirão and the Copa do Brasil.
A Portuguesa graduate, his career also took in Real Madrid, Flamengo, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern de Munique, Santos and Hamburgo. For Brazil, he played at the 1998 and 2006 World Cups. His honours include La Liga, the German League Cup twice, the DFB-Pokal four times and the Bundesliga four times.
