Chelsea face Liverpool tomorrow at Stamford Bridge, and they would desperately love to repeat the events of last season’s equivalent.

The Blues beat the Reds 3-1 in a huge win for their Champions League hopes.

Closing in on the end of the season, Chelsea desperately needed 3 points for their Champions League campaign.
Meanwhile Liverpool had just won the league and were pretty chilled about the whole thing. It gave a great chance for Chelsea to get a huge 3 points. So who were the standouts on the day?
A superb Cole Palmer goal earned him a 9.1 rating from SofaScore, but Palmer won’t be fit tomorrow.
The first goal came from Pedro Neto bursting down the right and pulling the ball back for Enzo Fernandez to score. We’d love to see a repeat of that tomorrow, and it’s certainly possible. Those two have been among our most effective players in this campaign so far.
Neto ended the game with a 7.7 and Fernandez with an 8.1. We need them both back to their best tomorrow with no Palmer around.
Portugal winger Neto had huge success down our right wing in that game, and up against Milos Kerkez this time he could repeat that. Neto had the least touches of any player to play 90 minutes, but he made them count – he had 6 touches in the Liverpool box, 2 chances created, 3 shots, 100% successful dribbles and 87% successful passes.
All of that danger down Chelsea’s flank drew in defenders, creating space for Enzo to score. Kerkez is vulnerable defensively and we should be setup to exploit that from the start of the game.
