Everton star Jack Grealish was quick to take to social media to reveal his appreciation for the talents of two Barcelona players during the club’s latest outing.

The pair in question? Pedri, and Frenkie de Jong.

The names of midfield duo Pedri and De Jong have of course dominated the headlines across Europe over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the engine room partners conjured up nothing short of a world-class performance for Barcelona.

En route to a 2-1 Champions League opening day downing of Newcastle United, Pedri and De Jong ran proceedings from their berth at the base of midfield.

Touch, vision, passing, dribbling, defensive work and sheer ingenuity, the pair’s respective performances had it all.

As much allowed Barcelona to dominate the midfield battle, a crucial aspect of the game against a physical Newcastle side.

And as alluded to above, chief amongst those to have heaped deserved praise on the Blaugrana stars on Thursday evening was Jack Grealish.
