FC Bayern continues to look for potential reinforcements for its central defense. One of the names that has been mentioned for months is Yann Aurel Bisseck. However, there are currently many indications that a move by the German international to Munich this summer is rather unlikely.
FC Bayern’s planning for the upcoming season is in full swing. While two top transfer targets, Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, are close to finalizing deals, club officials are also considering potential changes to the defense.
In particular, the future of Min-jae Kim and Hiroki Ito remains uncertain. Both center-backs are considered potential sales candidates should suitable offers come in. While Munich expects around 20 million euros for Ito, the asking price for Kim is significantly higher.
Ito’s ongoing injury problems, in particular, have raised internal doubts. That is why Bayern are already exploring possible alternatives.
Among the players whose names keep coming up is Yann Aurel Bisseck of Inter Milan.
The 24-year-old has developed excellently in Serie A in recent years and is now also part of the extended German national team squad. His physical presence, speed, and versatility make him an attractive prospect for many top clubs.
Several reports from Italy have recently suggested that Inter might be open to talks if an offer in the range of around 40 million euros were made.
Statements from the player’s inner circle have also been interpreted in recent weeks as a cautious willingness to move. While Bisseck himself is focused on Inter, the transfer window is still long.

However, a different development is now emerging.
As reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter is currently engaged in intensive planning for the upcoming season. The future of several key players is also playing an important role in these plans.
In addition to Alessandro Bastoni, this includes Yann Aurel Bisseck in particular. According to the newspaper, current developments clearly point toward him staying. Club officials continue to view the German national team player as a key part of the squad and want to secure his long-term commitment to the club.
Particularly interesting: Inter is reportedly already considering new contract talks with Bisseck.
An extension would not only strengthen the defender’s commitment but also send a clear signal to potential suitors.
For FC Bayern, this would be a significant development. After all, given his profile, Bisseck was considered one of the most promising candidates for the center-back position.
At the moment, however, there is no immediate pressure on Munich to act.
As long as Kim and Ito remain part of the squad, the focus will initially be on other areas of need. Only if one of the two defenders were to actually leave the club would the search for a new center-back become concrete.
If Bisseck is no longer available at that point, Bayern still has numerous alternatives on their list.
As things stand today, however, there is every indication that the former Cologne player will continue to wear the Inter Milan jersey next season—and a move to FC Bayern is not on the table for the time being.
