A number of Real Madrid young talents from the academy have made their first-team breakthroughs this season.
One such player to have made his senior debut this term happens to be defensive talent Victor Valdepenas.
After being on the bench for the UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City, the 19-year-old started in the La Liga game versus Alaves and played close to 80 minutes.
Now, according to journalist Matteo Moretto, AC Milan are closely tracking the development of Valdepenas at Real Madrid heading into the summer transfer window.
Some clubs from England and Germany have also expressed an interest in the teenage defender who can play at centre-back and left-back.
Milan are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements for next season, and given the club’s good working relationship with Real Madrid, a move for Valdepenas cannot be ruled out in the summer.

However, signing the youngster might not be straightforward, with Arsenal, too, having shown an interest in acquiring his services.
Moreover, following his first-team debut, Real Madrid moved quickly to improve Valdepenas’ contract and increase his release clause amount.
So, for Los Blancos to part ways with the promising defender, it might take a decent transfer fee, while they may even insist on favourable buy-back and future sell-on clauses, like they have been doing with youth player departures in recent years.
For now, Milan are indeed tracking Valdepenas and only time will tell if it leads to anything substantial in the months to come.
