Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso admitted "things are out of control" following the controversial altercation between Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and Liverpool supporter at Anfield.

Simeone’s Clash After Late Defeat

Atletico fell 3 - 2 to Liverpool in their Champions league opener with Virgil van Dijk scoring the winner in stoppage time.

Moments later, Simeone was caught in heated argument with Reds fan after being targeted with insults and provocative gestures. Security staff stepped in quickly to prevent the incident from escalating.

Red Card for Simeone

Italian referee Maurizio Mariani showed Simeone straight red card amid the chaos. The Argentine explained his frustration to the officials claiming he'd been subjected to offensive signals from the crowd.
