Alfon González joins Villarreal on loan from Sevilla with seven million euros option | OneFootball

Villarreal have completed the loan signing of winger Alfon González from Sevilla until the end of the season, with a non-obligatory seven million euros option to buy.

The 26-year-old has played 10 LaLiga EA Sports matches this season, starting three. El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that the club are also negotiating for United States player Alex Freeman.

His arrival reinforces the left side after a flurry of moves, with Manor Solomon joining Fiorentina, Ilias Akhomach renewing and heading to Rayo Vallecano on loan, and Thiago Fernández loaned to Real Oviedo.

González joined Sevilla as a free agent from Celta this season and has not been a regular. Marcelino García Toral specifically requested his signing to bolster the attack on the left.

Freeman, 21, plays for Orlando City, is considered among the standout performers in MLS and is a United States international.
