Almería plan squad overhaul after missing Primera División promotion

UD Almería are preparing a major shake-up after falling short of promotion to the Primera División. Rubi’s departure from the dugout will be the first move in a turbulent summer.

According to Superdeporte, several players will also leave, including Álex Centelles, Chumi, Melamed, Patrice Soko, Fernando and André Horta.

The club will listen to offers for some of their most valuable assets, notably Sergio Arribas, Lopy and Thalys. With active markets, their futures could lie away from the Power Horse Stadium.

The sporting department now faces a pivotal transfer window to redefine Almería’s project and set a clearer direction.

After missing their objective, Almería will look to mount another push for the top flight next season.
