Brazilian international Pedro is for his part in the midst of what has been an altogether productive individual campaign to date.

Despite the struggles of Chelsea as a collective, the former Watford man has thrived, on his way to 29 direct goal contributions in all competitions.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, have not gone at all unnoticed in La Liga…

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Chelsea’s Brazilian striker João Pedro has become Barcelona’s top target to reinforce their number nine position.’

Amid difficulties in negotiations over a deal for Atlético Madrid frontman Julián Alvarez, Barca have shifted full focus towards Chelsea’s star goalscorer.

Blaugrana sporting director Deco is fully in favour of a deal for Pedro, who could reportedly be lured away from Stamford Bridge for a fee in the region of €70 million.
