Leeds United receive a lift for their final Premier League home game, with captain Ethan Ampadu fit to start, but Pascal Struijk misses out against Brighton. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke has named his side for the Elland Road finale.
On Friday Farke said Ampadu was a major doubt through illness and had not trained, while Struijk was a big doubt after a hip issue at Tottenham. He added that Noah Okafor, Gabi Gudmundsson, Jayden Bogle and Ilia Gruev, out for the season, remained sidelined, and Facundo Buonanotte was ineligible to face his parent club.
Struijk, who started at Tottenham despite a hip knock, went off midway through the second half and now misses the squad. Sebastiaan Bornauw comes into defence as the only change, with Dan James keeping his place, seemingly at wing back.
With Struijk joining the absentees, centre-back Alfie Creswell is named on the bench for the first time, the younger brother of former Leeds youngster Charlie. As at Tottenham, Rhys Chadwick and Jayden Lienou are among the substitutes.
Highflying Brighton have won seven of their last 10. Fabian Hurzeler makes one enforced change, Joel Veltman replacing the injured Kaoru Mitoma, leaving former Leeds star Georginio Rutter on the bench on his return to Elland Road. Leeds United vs Brighton: Darlow, James, Rodon, Bijol, Bornauw, Justin, Ampadu, Tanaka, Stach, Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Perri, Byram, Lienou, Cresswell, Longstaff, Chadwick, Gnonto, Piroe, Nmecha.
