António Silva’s contract situation at Benfica remains unresolved, with no formal offer on the table, Record writes. Rui Costa said on 23 October that the matter was on track, but there has been no breakthrough.

Benfica are understood not to have advanced the renewal process and the defender’s current deal runs to summer 2027. Talks to extend are not underway.

In the first team since 2022/23, Silva, once an undisputed starter, has lost prominence under Bruno Lage and José Mourinho. If no agreement is found by the summer, he could depart for a reduced fee.

The 22-year-old is not currently showing interest in a renewal and is said to be unhappy with limited minutes. Tomás Araújo and Nicolás Otamendi have often been preferred.

This season he has made 30 appearances for Benfica, 14 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal, and one each in the Taça da Liga and Supertaça. He has played 2,296 minutes and is valued at €30 million, delivering high-level displays.
