Mama Diop and Inès Konan enabled RC Strasbourg to secure a 2-2 draw against Le Havre this Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Stade Océane, on the opening day of the Arkema Première Ligue. Strasbourg’s two goals answered those from Chancelle Effa Effa and Zoé Stiévenart.

Le Havre took the lead through Chancelle Effa Effa as early as the 11th minute. But Strasbourg quickly struck back. Off a corner, Inès Konan’s header leveled the score (13’). The Ivorian international netted her first goal of the season in this inaugural match of the French women’s top flight.

Following Konan’s equalizer, Mama Diop found the net and put Strasbourg ahead. The Senegalese forward scored her first goal for RC Strasbourg since joining this summer, and opened her account in the Arkema Première Ligue for the 2025/26 season.

Racing had a chance to extend their lead shortly after, but Le Havre goalkeeper Laetitia Philippe denied Laurine Hannequin from the penalty spot. Just before halftime, Zoé Stiévenart equalized for HAC. After the break, Le Havre tried to dominate proceedings, carving out numerous opportunities, but Strasbourg’s keeper Manon Wahl was unbeatable. She repelled repeated attacks from Le Havre’s forwards, particularly Zoé Stiévenart and Chancelle Effa Effa, despite facing over twenty shots. RC Strasbourg, meanwhile, also had chances to secure the win, but couldn’t find a third goal.
