Arsenal’s ownership have approved the figures it would take to land Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr.

The Athletic report that Vinicius Jr’s future is still very much up in the air, with Madrid not yet close to agreeing an extension on his contract, which runs out next year.

An agreement on personal terms between Arsenal and the Brazil international is not expected to be an issue, the report adds.

More talks between Real Madrid and the 26-year-old are set to take place, with Arsenal waiting if he opts not to extend his contract.

The Daily Mail, meanwhile, are reporting that the Gunners have agreed a deal worth £77m plus add-ons for Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

There are still details to be finalised, it is also reported, but a deal is said to be very close to completion.

But the signing of Vinicius Jr could pave the way for youngster Ethan Nwaneri to leave the club on loan.

Corriere dello Sport say AC Milan are among the clubs keen on signing the 19-year-old, and have made contact with Arsenal over a deal.

They are said to face significant competition for the attacking midfielder, however.

Elsewhere, The Daily Mail also report that Inter Milan are willing to pay £30m for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones – but that the Premier League side are holding out for more.

Antonio Silva has completed his medical and is set to complete his move to Bournemouth.

And Newcastle have an agreement in principle with Braga for Lukas Hornice, Sky Sports say.
