Arsenal have been handed a potential injury boost after Scotland international defender Kieran Tierney was spotted in first-team training in a clip uploaded by the club on Wednesday afternoon.
The 27-year-old has not played for the Gunners this term after he was stretchered off following a nasty injury against Switzerland during the group stage of the European Championship on June 19.
The Arsenal man returned to individual training in September and is now fit enough to train with the rest of his teammates, and he could be involved in action during the busy festive fixtures.
Tierney spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad and was expected to leave Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
However, his injury denied him that chance, and he was subsequently included in the Gunners squad for the Champions League opening phase.
The former Celtic star’s future in London looks bleak as he is unsuited to manager Mikel Arteta’s style of play.
Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu can all play full-back, which could see Tierney struggle for playing minutes if they are all fit.
Defensive injuries have been frequent at Arsenal this term, and the Scottish full-back could get a chance to make an unlikely appearance in the coming weeks.
With the January transfer window approaching, Tierney will hope to seal an exit, temporarily or permanently, and he will not be short of options.
