Arsenal have held talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace star Ebere Eze, according to reports.
The Guardian say Gunners officials have discussed personal terms and other matters with Eze’s representatives but are yet to open talks with Crystal Palace.
Eze was released by Arsenal at the age of 13 and is believed to have a release clause of £67.5m, with two years left on his current deal.
Tottenham are also said to be very keen on the England international, however, meaning the two north London rivals could do battle for the 27-year-old.
Spurs have also been linked with a move for West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus.
The Telegraph say Tottenham are confident of striking a deal for the 24-year-old below his £85m release clause, which would also end an “unofficial transfer embargo” between the two rivals.
But Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United are also believed to be keen on the Ghanaian.
Meanwhile, the Athletic say Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins is on Manchester United’s radar this summer should Rasmus Hojlund depart.
Arsenal also remain keen as an alternative to Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, however, having tried to sign the 29-year-old in January.
The Athletic are also reporting that Liverpool want at least £40m for Harvey Elliott if there is a buyback clause in the deal, and £50m without one.
Sky Germany, meanwhile, say Bayern Munich could move for Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.
Manchester United are continuing to work on a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo but have been warned that the Cameroon international could stay at the club this summer.
Brentford director of football Phil Giles has also confirmed that midfielder Christian Norgaard is closing in on a move to Arsenal.
And Wolves have announced the permanent signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen, who spent last season on loan at the club.
