Bukayo Saka has picked up an injury in the warm-up to rule him out of Arsenal's match against Leeds.
The winger was rested in midweek against Kairat in the Champions League but was set to come back into the starting lineup at Elland Road.
However, Saka left the warm-up early and went straight down the tunnel with one of the Arsenal physios.
Noni Madueke took his place for the final drills with the rest of the outfield players and went through an intense warm-up with coach Sam Wilson.
It was then confirmed ahead of kick-off that Madueke had come in to replace Saka in the starting lineup. Gabriel was promoted to captain.
Christian Norgaard, who travelled with the group as the extra man but did not originally make the squad, will take the place on the bench.
Arsenal are had already been dealt a blow ahead of the match with Mikel Merino ruled out with a foot injury.
The Spaniard will see specialists in the coming days to determine the severity of the issue, with uncertainty over how long he faces on the sidelines.
