Liverpool reached a new low at the weekend after losing 3-0 at Manchester City in the Premier League.
Arne Slot’s side were well beaten at the Etihad, as goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku did the damage. Defeat leaves Liverpool eighth in the Premier League table, and eight points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
The champions have struggled to find last season’s form in 2025/26, while their defeat at Manchester City ended a long-time streak.
Liverpool failed to score for the first time in 45 league games, ending the second-longest run in the league’s history.
Slot’s side had last failed to score when losing 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest in August 2024.
The end of their run of consecutive games with a goal ensures Arsenal’s record remains safe, after the Gunners went 55 straight games with a goal between 2001 and 2002.
