Arthur has returned to Palmeiras training ahead of schedule, extending the list of early arrivals during the club’s mid-season break.
According to Globo.com, he is the seventh to report early, joining Benedetti, Bruno Fuchs, Felipe Anderson, Jefté, Lucas Evangelista and Paulinho.
The club opened its facilities for players who preferred not to work remotely, and uptake was strong. Paulinho and Benedetti were the first to arrive.
Vitor Roque has continued his recovery from ankle surgery without a recess. The forward is progressing and working towards full fitness for the second half of the year.
With those eight involved, Palmeiras have started inter-season work with close to half the squad available, as seven World Cup call-ups are absent at the outset.
Giay will return later. He is in the United States with Argentina’s delegation at the AFA’s invitation despite not being called up, and is expected back in Brazil early next week.
Murilo, Carlos Miguel, Andreas Pereira, Allan and Marlon Freitas are due to start on Wednesday evening, with the official resumption set for 19:00 at the Academia de Futebol.
