AS Monaco’s ultras will end their first-half protest and resume normal support from Saturday’s home match against Angers at the Stade Louis-II, kick-off seven pm. According to Nice-Matin, the Ultras Monaco 1994 group confirmed the decision in a statement on Friday evening.
In early December, they demonstrated their discontent in the Principality before the game against Galatasaray.
In the weeks since, they staged a first-half strike, remaining silent for the opening 45 minutes and halting chants and displays at each match.
They also unfurled banners calling for the board to resign, criticising what they view as a financially driven approach with little regard for human or sporting realities.
While their misgivings remain, they have chosen to move towards the players and back them through to the end of the season.
The group said they had demanded greater commitment and seriousness from the squad, had observed a positive shift and stronger mentality in recent matches, and would therefore restore normal encouragements.
