Atalanta target Milan duo after 50m Man United deal and block Roma move for Scamacca | OneFootball

Reports in Italy claim that Milan’s Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari are among Atalanta’s options to replace Manchester United-bound Ederson and that La Dea won’t let Gianluca Scamacca leave despite talks with Roma.

Atalanta are looking for a replacement for Brazilian midfielder Ederson, who is expected to join Manchester United in a €50m transfer.

Atalanta target potential Ederson replacements

According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on Milan duo Ricci and Jashari, among others.

Atalanta will soon confirm the appointment of Cristiano Giuntoli as sporting director and the appointment of new coach Maurizio Sarri.

According to the report, Atalanta are also interested in Arthur Atta (Udinese) and Lucas Da Cunha (Como), as well as Davide Frattesi (Inter) and Gianluca Gaetano (Cagliari).

Technically, the only registas on this list who could potentially replace Ederson are Da Cunha, Ricci, and Jashari, as Atta, Frattesi, and Gaetano usually have more attacking duties.

Calciomercato reports that Sarri is also eager to reunite with Taty Castellanos, a former Lazio player who joined West Ham in January.

According to Gazzetta, however, Atalanta are not considering making big changes in attack as they are eager to stick with both Nikola Krstovic and Gianluca Scamacca.

The latter has attracted interest from Roma and, according to Gazzetta, already held talks with Gian Piero Gasperini, his former coach in Bergamo.

Atalanta, however, are unwilling to let Scamacca leave and are not inclined to even listen to offers for the Italy international, especially after Ederson’s big sale to Manchester United.
