Augsburg reject €25m offer from Crystal Palace for Chrislain Matsima | OneFootball

Augsburg have rejected an offer of €25m for Chrislain Matsima (24) from Crystal Palace, according to a report from Sky Germany. The Premier League club have identified the French centre-back as a potential target as they look to bolster the defensive options of Pierre Sage before the new season begins. 

The Eagles sent a first written offer to the Bundesliga on Saturday evening which was quickly rejected. As things stand, the respective parties remain apart in their valuation of Monaco academy graduate.  It remains to be seen if Crystal Palace will return with a second offer for Matsima. 

Crystal Palace searching for Maxence Lacroix replacement?

The East London club have been forced into the transfer market for defensive reinforcements. Lacroix is set to join Chelsea for a fee in the region of £52m which would leave them with a centre-back short at Selhurst Parki ahead of the new Premier League season starting in the next few weeks.
