Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has revealed what the new Blues set piece coach said to him and the player ahead of their win over Noah last night.
Chelsea absolutely trounced a very terrible Noah side that were just well and truly set up to fail by their manager.
The minnows came at Chelsea and played attacking football, leaving huge spaces between the attack and the defence, allowing Chelsea’s devastating counter-attacking play to exploit that – which if course they did.
It was just a huge mis-match last night, and it was just showing that Chelsea are way too good for this competition.
Even still, they enjoyed having a nice comfortable game and being able to grab a load of easy goals being gifted chances by many mistakes.
Disasi got on the scoresheet with a header from an Enzo Fernandez corner, and he wasn’t the only one. Another centre back Tosin Adarabioyo also scored a head from a Fernandez corner just before Disasi did.
Cueva a happy man
Chelsea recently hired a new set piece coach Bernando Cueva, who has a great reputation. However, they have only scored one goal from a set piece at the start of the season. So he was a happy man to see them bag two last night.
In words cited on X, Disasi said after the game:
“Our set piece coach Bernardo told us we have to score from a corner kick tonight because we didn’t do that since the beginning of the season. I think tonight he will be very happy with the two goals.”
Chelsea have some very big centre backs now and with Rentao Veiga on the pitch as well last night, you would have known that they would have a huge threat in the air, and they certainly did have that.
