Barcelona alerted to Benfica star’s signing | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been alerted to a potential opportunity on the transfer market.

This comes amid the understanding that Benfica have opened the door to the summer exit of Andreas Schjelderup.

Attacker Schjelderup has for his part long aroused the interest of those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The Norwegian starlet, who chiefly lines out on the left flank, is appreciated for his explosive abilities in the final third, a traditional winger eager to take on his man at every opportunity.

Across the season to date, Schjelderup has racked up seven goals and four assists in all competitions.

Considered a future star in the making, the latest word coming out of Portugal regarding the 21-year-old’s future has therefore come as something of a surprise.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing Jornal Record:

‘Benfica would open the door to Schjelderup as long as a reasonable offer arrives and he is willing to listen to proposals in the coming months.’

Barcelona, in turn, are expected to explore the terms of a potential deal.
