Barcelona considering move for Juventus star | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked a member of the attacking ranks at Juventus as a potential future signing.

That’s according to Diario Sport, citing Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, who point towards Dušan Vlahović as the player in question.

Frontman Vlahović is for his part fresh off an impressive start to the new campaign.

Despite having slipped behind summer signing Jonathan David in the centre-forward pecking order at Juventus, the Serbian has directly contributed to five goals in four appearances.

This included a brace as well as an assist in a dazzling cameo off the bench en route to the Bianconeri’s 4-4 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

And yet, as things stand, Vlahović is all set to bring a close to his time in Turin next summer.

Having failed to reach an agreement on the terms of an extension to his expiring contract, the 25-year-old will from January be free to negotiate with other clubs.

And one side who could move to take advantage of this situation are the aforementioned Barcelona.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, ahead of the departure of Robert Lewandowski next summer, Deco and co. consider a free agent swoop for Vlahović a real option.
