Supporters of La Liga champions Barcelona have this weekend continued in their tirade against arch rivals Real Madrid, over the standard of officiating in Los Blancos’ fixtures.

This comes after Álvaro Arbeloa’s troops were awarded their latest pair of spot-kicks en route to a La Liga victory over Real Sociedad.

Real Madrid welcomed La Real to Spain’s capital on Saturday night, aware that a victory would see them leapfrog Barcelona back to the top of the table.

And en route to precisely as much, the hosts notched two penalties, both won and dispatched by star winger Vinícius Jr.

This extended Real Madrid’s considerable advantage atop the charts when it comes to penalties awarded in their favour across the La Liga season to date.

And as alluded to above, these developments have since not gone down at all well with those of a Barcelona persuasion.

Taking to social media in their numbers following Saturday’s Bernabéu matchup, the Blaugrana faithful have continued to push the narrative that they simply ‘cannot compete’ with their arch rivals, owing to what they consider to be unwavering favouritism on the part of La Liga’s officials:
