Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. on Saturday night overtook Barcelona legend and fellow countryman Neymar Jr. in La Liga’s all-time goalscoring charts.

This comes owing to the former’s exploits against Real Sociedad.

Real Madrid were of course back in action yesterday evening, welcoming La Real to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged 4-1 victors, to climb back to the top of the table.

And it was the aforementioned Vinícius Jr. who proved himself the star of the show.

The Brazilian was responsible for winning a pair of penalties either side of the interval, before dusting himself down to dispatch both.

In the process, Vinícius took his career tally in Spain’s top-flight to 69 goals.

And as has since been revealed online, this is one more than was managed by ex-Barcelona wide-man Neymar, who found the net 68 times during his own iconic stint in La Liga.
