Barcelona’s narrow win over Celta Vigo has been overshadowed by growing frustration within the club over refereeing decisions, with concerns now extending to upcoming La Liga fixtures.

According to reports from El Chiringuito TV, the Catalan giants are increasingly uneasy about how key calls could influence the outcome of the title race.

At the centre of the controversy is the disallowed goal scored by Ferran Torres, a moment that many within Barcelona believe could have changed the dynamic of the match entirely.

The forward produced a superb volley from a precise pass by Pedri, with the ball crashing in off the crossbar. It appeared to be a moment of quality that deserved to stand.

Another VAR error

However, the celebrations were cut short almost immediately. VAR intervened and ruled the goal out for offside, a decision that quickly became the main talking point of the night.

Replays showed a marginal situation, with Torres appearing to be level with Marcos Alonso.

The call ultimately came down to extremely fine margins, with the goal disallowed by what seemed to be a matter of millimetres.

The decision has not gone down well within the club, as there is a growing feeling that such calls could play a decisive role in shaping the title race, particularly with Barcelona holding a lead over Real Madrid heading into the final stretch of the season.

Worry at Barcelona

Reports suggest that Barcelona are now wary of how future matches will be officiated, especially upcoming clashes against Getafe and Osasuna.

Internally, there is a belief that decisions could influence whether the title race remains open until the highly anticipated El Clasico.

From Barcelona’s perspective, this is not an isolated incident but part of a bigger pattern that is beginning to raise serious questions.

While the team continues to focus on results on the pitch, the growing noise around refereeing decisions could add additional pressure in the final weeks of the campaign.
