Barcelona star absent from training before Newcastle | OneFootball

A headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona remained absent from group training on Tuesday.

The player in question? Lamine Yamal.

Wide-man Lamine was for his part forced to sit out this past weekend, as Barcelona kicked their campaign back into gear in a meeting with Valencia.

This came owing to an injury problem suffered whilst on international duty with Spain.

The 18-year-old’s participation in Barca’s upcoming European season opener against Newcastle United, in turn, was also thrown up in the air.

And if the latest word stemming from Catalunya’s capital on Tuesday is anything to go by, then those of a Blaugrana persuasion should not get their hopes up when it comes to as much.

As revealed by club insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, Lamine played no part in training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning.
