Barcelona stars clash on the pitch on international duty | OneFootball

Two headline members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona were involved in an eye-catching clash whilst on international duty this weekend.

As much came during the Copa América showdown between Brazil and Uruguay.

Two of South American football’s heavyweight nations locked horns in the early hours of Sunday, in the fourth and final Copa quarter-final fixture.

When all was said and done, it was Uruguay who emerged triumphant, owing to a nail-biting penalty shootout triumph.

And, en route to as much, a whole host of headline stars from La Liga took their places front and centre.

This certainly proved the case on the quarter of an hour mark, when players from both Real Madrid and Barcelona were involved in a head-turning exchange.

First, Barca defender Ronald Araújo was responsible for a needless charge into the back of Endrick, which left the Real Madrid-bound frontman grounded on the turf.

And as much did not go down at all well with one of Araújo’s teammates at club level.

Jumping to the defence of his young compatriot, Raphinha directed a shove into the back of his fellow Blaugrana star, too, leaving Araújo himself floored and looking rather sheepish.
