O Jogo reports that Barcelona are tracking Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup and are assessing a possible end-of-season move.
Scouts were sent to the match in Arouca specifically to watch him, and he proved decisive in a stoppage-time win.
The report adds that the Catalan club aim to compile full information on Benfica’s number 21 before lodging a formal proposal when the campaign ends. Since January, Schjelderup has been viewed as untouchable in Mourinho’s side.
Barcelona’s interest is described as longstanding, dating back to before he signed for Benfica. Schjelderup has been with the club since January 2023, and this has been his breakthrough campaign.
This season he has made 35 appearances, 20 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,938 minutes, he has seven goals and four assists, and is valued at 14 million euros.
