La Liga champions Barcelona have on Thursday been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Pedri has returned to group training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Midfielder Pedri has for his part been sidelined since late in October, owing to a muscular injury suffered against Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old’s absence has since been sorely felt on the continent, with Barcelona having stuttered to just a point from an available six in their last two Champions League fixtures.
In particular against Chelsea this past Tuesday, Pedri’s ability to control proceedings in the middle of the park was badly missed by his teammates.
Safe to say, then, that all associated with Barca will be delighted with the latest word stemming from the Ciutat Esportiva on Thursday.
As per a report from RAC1:
‘Pedri trains with the rest of the team after a month out. The expectation is that he will receive medical clearance and be able to get some minutes this Saturday against Alavés at the Camp Nou.’
