According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are set to face a hefty punishment for their fans’ actions away to SSV Ulm in the first round of the DFB-Pokal.

It is understood that the German Football Association’s sports court have fined Der Rekordmeister €150,000 after their away block at the Donaustadion was lit ablaze by their fans due to a significant usage of pyrotechnics.

As stated in the report, fans of the record champions lit at least 70 flares and four fireworks during their clash with the newly promoted 2. Bundesliga side.

This is not the first time Bayern has faced punishment for using pyrotechnics during a game.

Regardless, Bayern are able to use up to €50,000 of their fine for security or violence prevention measures in future fixtures; however, this would have to be clearly proven to the DFB by June 30, 2025.
