FC Bayern are once again turning their attention to South America – more specifically to Brazil. As reported in the latest „Bayern Insider“ podcast, Munich are keeping a close eye on 19-year-old attacking player Rayan from Vasco da Gama. The exceptional young talent is one of the most exciting wingers of his age and has already attracted attention in Brazil’s Série A.„That’s true
„That’s true. Rayan is known to FC Bayern, they are watching him very closely,“ emphasizes BILD chief reporter Tobi Altschäffl in the podcast
This makes it clear that the record champions are continuing their strategy of identifying young, attacking one-on-one players early on before their market value explodes
Rayan is described in Brazil as a technically outstanding, fast and dribbling winger who finds exceptionally creative solutions in confined spaces. His game thrives on courage, pace and the willingness to take responsibility in one-on-one situations. According to the podcast, Bayern has been looking for precisely these qualities for years
BILD reporter Julian Agardi explains: „This is a case of observation. Bayern is watching how he develops, but it’s not yet a concrete Bayern issue.“ This makes it clear that Munich want to evaluate his development in the long term – without taking any risks just yet

Those responsible want to observe Rayan over several months to see whether he can consistently confirm his performances. Physical development often determines whether a talent makes the leap to Europe, particularly in the transition from the Brazilian youth system to the professional game
His market value (currently at 18 million euros) is rising rapidly, and several clubs from Spain, Portugal and England have already scouted the attacking player. Bayern want to be informed early on without artificially inflaming the situation
Altschäffl sums it up as follows: „It’s logical for Bayern to keep an eye on such players early on, but they want to see where their development is heading first.“
Coach Vincent Kompany attaches great importance to players who are powerful in one-on-one situations and can increase the pace on the flanks. Such talents are valuable for his system, which is often based on dynamism and individual solutions – even if they are initially only seen as prospects
„Bayern are always looking for players who can find solutions in one-on-one situations,“ says Altschäffl. „It’s logical to keep an eye on such profiles early on.“
