Benfica sign Rio Ave pivot Ruben Góis on contract to 2028 | OneFootball

Benfica have signed 24-year-old pivot Ruben Góis from Rio Ave for their men's futsal team, on a contract until 2028.

He arrives to fill the roles vacated by Jacaré and Higor de Souza. It is also a return, as he was on Benfica's books in 2022/23 without first-team minutes, spending that season on loan at Leões de Porto Salvo.

"I am very happy and motivated for what lies ahead. It is, without any doubt, a dream come true. I arrive much more mature, more aware of what I want and I am taking the right step at the right time," he told BTV.

"I have come to Benfica to help the club achieve its objectives as much as possible. A club of this size lives on titles and that is where I will head with my team-mates."

The Portugal senior international said he joins at the right moment, following the club's recent domestic successes.
