Eintracht Women won the first leg of their Women’s Europa Cup quarter-final against FC Nordsjælland 4-0.
Niko Arnautis’s side put their Danish visitors under pressure right from kick-off and carved out their first clear-cut opening as early as the fourth minute, but Rebecka Blomqvist was unable to capitalise. Eintracht kept going though, and deservedly got their reward ten minutes later.Anyomi opens the scoring Ereleta Memeti got the better of Hannah Jorgensen and crossed into the middle for Nicole Anyomi, who buried a header into the left-hand corner. Eintracht created further openings for Elisa Senß (16’, 22’), Blomqvist (26’) and Anyomi (28’) but were unable to add to the scoreline, and then had the crossbar to thank for keeping out Anna Walter’s shot from 11 metres out (29’), before Princess Marfo fired wide of the target for the visitors (35’). Blomqvist doubles the lead
Just 60 seconds later, Anyomi’s superb pass put Blomqvist through on goal. She kept her composure with just Ella-Maria Ervasti to beat and made it 2-0, giving Eintracht a thoroughly deserved advantage at the interval.
