Relations within Basque football are at their most strained in decades.
According to El Correo, the territorial federations of Bizkaia, Álava and Gipuzkoa have lodged accusations against the Federación Vasca and the Federación Española.

Their complaint centres on what they describe as efforts to marginalise the three territories.
They argue that the FVF is taking an active role in an FEF campaign to turn them into mere delegations.
The three federations also say they have the backing of the provincial diputaciones.
