Bodo/Glimt took full advantage of the synthetic pitch to secure a two-goal advantage over Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League playoff tie.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, last night’s 3-1 defeat at the Aspmyra Stadion leaves the Nerazzurri on the brink of elimination.
Despite sneaking into the knockout phase, courtesy of a 23rd-place finish, Bodo/Glimt are on the verge of pulling off another epic upset.
Indeed, Kjetil Knutsen’s side already beat Atletico Madrid and Manchester City during the league phase.
However, last night’s victory was largely unexpected, given Inter’s formidable form in recent weeks.

Despite netting his second Champions League goal, Francesco Pio Esposito couldn’t help Inter avoid defeat in Bodo.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu lost his standout performer, Lautaro Martinez, to a ‘serious’ injury.
Therefore, El Toro may have to watch the return leg at San Siro from the sidelines.
Needless to say, Lautaro’s absence would be a huge blow for Inter’s hopes of turning this tie on its head.
