Real Madrid could be set to receive a timely boost ahead of their crucial clash against Atletico Madrid, with Jude Bellingham edging closer to a return.

According to a report from MARCA, the English midfielder is now back in full training and could be handed minutes in Sunday’s derby at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are currently finalising their preparations for one of the most important fixtures of their domestic campaign, and while there are still several notable absentees, there is also growing optimism within the squad.

Heading into the match, the team will be without key figures such as Thibaut Courtois, Rodrygo, Eder Militao, Dani Ceballos, and Ferland Mendy, all of whom remain sidelined.

However, there is better news when it comes to players who had been dealing with minor issues.

Welcome boost for Real Madrid

Notably, Bellingham, recently selected for the national team duty, is among those now available again, having completed a full training session, which is his first since picking up the injury.

The midfielder is expected to be included in the matchday squad, with the coaching staff considering giving him valuable minutes.

Although he was part of the travelling squad for the Champions League clash against Manchester City, he ultimately did not make the final match list.

This time, however, the situation appears more favourable, with his physical condition showing clear improvement.

Furthermore, there are also other players set to return to the fold.

The likes of Alvaro Carreras and David Alaba are both expected to be available after travelling for the City match without featuring.

Meanwhile, Raul Asencio is also in line to rejoin the squad after missing recent fixtures against Elche and Man City.
