Bournemouth take on Leeds United on Wednesday evening looking to defend the current longest undefeated run in Europe's top five leagues.
The Cherries have yet to suffer a defeat in the league since their very first game in 2026 – a 3-2 defeat at home to leaders Arsenal that they avenged with a damaging 1-0 win at the Emirates Stadium this month.
In that time Bournemouth have played the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Newcastle United without suffering a single loss – although the Magpies did manage to knock them out of the FA Cup in a penalty shoot-out.
That cup game rather typically finished as a draw which most of Bournemouth's games tend to do. Indeed, seven of those 13 undefeated league games ended level including a five-game run of draws from mid-February until that win over Arsenal.
To put Bournemouth's run in comparison to the rest, Manchester City are the closest Premier League team to have gone so many games without losing. The Citizens are on their title charge right now but their unbeaten league streak is 'only' 10 games old.
Of the top five leagues, German champions Bayern Munich are on an 11-game undefeated streak – the closest anyone can get to Bournemouth.
Can Daniel Farke's team end that run on Wednesday? Or will Andoni Iraola's farewell lap with Bournemouth continue?
