Brasileirão’s G6 now G7 as Libertadores final is all-Brazilian

With Flamengo and Palmeiras qualifying for the Libertadores final, the Brazilian Championship will gain a new spot for the 2026 edition of the Libertadores. With both teams also competing for the Brazilian title, the G6 will become a G7 at the end of the competition. Currently, Fluminense remains strong in the fight for a spot in next year’s continental competition, occupying sixth place with 47 points.

After defeating Ceará in a postponed match from the 12th round last Wednesday (29), the tricolor now travels to Fortaleza to face the same Ceará next Sunday in a match valid for the 31st round of the Brasileirão.
